 We are pleased to announce the publication of the General Issue of Teachers and Curriculum for 2021.

 In this issue there is a special and timely focus on curriculum. Considerations of longer term purposes as well as the nature and structure of content is important in the development or revision of curriculum documents. The beliefs and values of educators, public and private matter in championing, implementing and enactment of curriculum at all levels. Whether a time of curriculum review or not, we can acknowledge that the steps we take now on our current path lead us to the situations we will find ourselves in in the future.

 Articles in this issue explore curriculum purposes, content, implications and enactment in pedagogy from beginning teachers, experienced teachers and university academics’ perspectives. We close with attention on students' experience with the impact of the use of digital devices and influences on motivation.
